The Serbian community of Toronto and Ontario is one of our largest communities in Canada. They say that it is made up of 100,000 people. We are organized, we help each other out; and not only through church, but also through a large number of organizations such as cultural and artistic associations, media, and sports clubs, not to mention restaurants and shops. We are a nation that likes to host, therefore we nurture our traditions that range from culinary specialties, to slavas and traditional customs, folklore, film festivals, and so on.
SAN was founded, among other reasons, to fill in the picture of us who live and work here, in order to unite our youngest and oldest community members in preserving the Serbian language, culture, and traditions, and to connect our people not only across all parts of Canada, but the whole of North America.
SAN Magazine writes about events in our community in Canada and the United States—cultural-artistic associations, theatre troupes and their performances, literary soirées, exhibits, charity events, concerts, and sports accomplishments. Join us in sharing and exchanging information. Your collaboration is welcome.

On Highway 5 in Oakville there is a church that is a real pearl of Orthodox Christianity. It is very small, yet it shines in its noble mission to preserve Orthodox Christianity and to draw the gathering of Serbian people.
