Poet, writer, instructor, and translator, Maja Herman Sekulić studied undergraduate and master’s degrees in World Literature at the Faculty of Philology in her native Belgrade. She received a doctorate from Princeton University (USA), where she also taught as well as at Harvard and Columbia. She is a member of the Association of Writers of Serbia, the Serbian Literary Society, both the Serbian and the American PEN Centres, and the Poetry Society of America. She has published collections of poetry, novels, critiques, essays, reviews, forewords, and major translations and critical editions of works by world-class authors.
