Job Bank, a job search platform
What makes Canada an attractive country to live in, in addition to its splendid nature and warm-hearted people, is the fact that it offers various opportunities for career development and business fulfillment. Canada is a country with a strong and stable economy, a wide market in constant development and a growing need for workers of different profiles.
Employment programs in the public and private sectors can be found on the official government website https://www.jobbank.gc.ca. This is one of the online platforms that help Canadians find a job and plan their careers, and make it easier for employers to hire across the country.
JobBank is also available as a mobile application for Android and iOS and offers the largest database of available jobs across Canada, with approximately 8 million jobs and 200,000 employers who have business profiles where job seekers can be informed about employment conditions. This online platform offers a variety of tools and resources designed to assist members of vulnerable groups such as youth, veterans of the Canadian armed forces, Indigenous peoples, people with disabilities, immigrants, as well as temporary workers in Canada, in their integration into the Canadian workforce and labor market.
In addition to paid jobs, government-funded internships, federal government jobs, and training courses can also be found on this website. Handling this website is very simple with filters that allow you to search by different categories of occupations, locations in all provinces of Canada, and types of positions with permanent, temporary, or student employment. The website also contains valuable tips and tools for career planning, trend analysis of the most in-demand occupations, information on annual earnings for each occupation, and tips for writing a resume that will attract the attention of employers and increase the chances of employment in the desired job. There are also tips for interview preparation, information on immigration policies, life in Canada, taxes, federal and provincial labor laws, workplace standards, national health and safety standards, and pension programs.
ExpressEntry - Program for accelerated obtaining of Canadian visas
Due to the development of the market and maintaining the stability of the economy, Canada is looking for thousands of qualified workers every year, and they urgently need certain occupations. The Canadian government in cooperation with the national employment service every year makes a list of occupations for which there are not enough registered Canadians and through the ExpressEntry immigration program, it is possible for qualified foreign workers to permanently settle and live in Canada. All "Express Entry" applications are scored by assessing each applicant's age, education, work experience, and English or French language skills and ranking them based on the number of points.
In February 2022, 16 occupations were announced that qualify for express entry into the country. Some of the occupations that qualify are:
- Payroll administrators
- Dental assistants and dental laboratory assistants
- Nursing assistants, paramedics and patient service assistants
- Pharmacy technical assistants and pharmacy assistants
- Teacher assistants in primary and secondary schools
- Sheriffs and bailiffs
- Estheticians, electrologists and related occupations
- Installers and repairmen for residential and commercial premises
- Pest controllers and fumigators
- Truck drivers
- Bus drivers, subway operators and other transit operators

The full list of occupations and all other information about the ExpressEntry program can be found on the website: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry.html
