Dear Readers,

This issue marks a special moment for us, as we address you with great joy and pride as the new Editors of SAN Magazine. For the past ten years, SAN has accompanied the life of the Serbian community in Canada and around the world, documenting our joys, struggles, achievements, and challenges. Over time, it has become much more than a magazine—it has grown into a chronicle of our shared experience and a guardian of identity passed from one generation to the next.

Today, as the two of us—Biljana Tucakov and Miljana Ristić—assume editorial leadership, we do so with a deep sense of responsibility and genuine enthusiasm. It is an honour to continue a journey built with dedication and belief in the importance of our collective voice. We are grateful for this legacy and for the trust placed in us to carry it forward.

At the same time, we wish to enrich SAN with fresh, contemporary energy and open it even further to the realities of our community today. Our vision is a magazine that belongs to everyone—those who have been here for decades and those just beginning their journey, a space for remarkable achievements as well as for the quiet, everyday stories that connect us most deeply.

We believe that media today must be alive, warm, and authentic. SAN should inspire, connect, and reflect the very best our community has to offer. We will continue to celebrate athletes, artists, scientists, students, entrepreneurs, and humanitarians, while also giving voice to ordinary people—because the most meaningful stories are often found in everyday life.

As we begin this new chapter, we want your voices to be heard more than ever. Your ideas, stories, and suggestions are what shape SAN. This magazine belongs to all of us—its readers, writers, collaborators, and everyone who believes in its purpose.

We remain committed to preserving the authenticity and warmth that defined SAN’s first ten years, while enriching those foundations with new content, fresh perspectives, and renewed energy. Our goal is for SAN to be a magazine that is read, kept, shared, and recommended—a place where everyone can find a reflection of themselves, no matter where they live or which world they call home.
