We are pleased to present a new edition of SAN Magazine – an issue that, in a special way, connects the past and the present, homeland and Canada, culture, identity, and the people who, through their work, creativity, and love for their roots, leave a lasting mark on time.

In this issue, we travel through different stories and landscapes: from the Canadian North and the silence of snowy scenery, through Serbian communities in Toronto, Vancouver, and Ontario, all the way to ancient Egypt – the cradle of civilization. We explore topics that shape the everyday lives of our people in Canada, as well as stories that remind us who we are, where we come from, and what we hope to leave to future generations.

A special place in this edition belongs to people. Diplomats, artists, doctors, writers, guardians of culture and tradition, young talents, and individuals whose work builds bridges between Serbia and Canada. Their stories testify that the Serbian community in the diaspora is not merely a memory of the homeland, but a vibrant, creative, and resilient community that continues to grow and endure.

Through the pages of this issue, we wanted to preserve what is most valuable – the sense of belonging. In a time of rapid change, when the world is constantly transforming, culture, language, tradition, and togetherness remain our strongest bonds. That is why SAN is not just a magazine. It is a space for connection, remembrance, dialogue, and community.
